Hi,
I have a 5 month old Springerama, he's really lively and getting on really well with every aspect of his training, he heels on the lead and comes back when called off the lead until he sees another dog he only wants to play and it doesn't matter how many times I call him he will not come back I end up chasing him and the other dog round in circles.
Please help I don't want to keep him on the lead as he's really good off of it until another dog apears.

Hi Nicki Don't get too worried about this puppy behaviour. The key to getting him over this is to teach him to concentrate more on you and less on the distractions of the world. Easier said than done? Well yes, but with time and patience it will come if you practise. You should be doing some kind of formal training from around 6 months and if you get good advice for this you will learn exercises to teach focus on you. You need to be the best thing in his world to keep him interested in you and then although he may still want to go and greet while he is young, you should be able to call him up easily.
