I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this new website. I have very little IT knowledge and what I know is self taught through trial and errror. Mostly error!

I wanted to give a good overview of what we do at Ashley grove while making the site easy to use and informative with regards to courses etc.

OK. As everyone is too shy I will be first to post on the forum. :) Great website. I'm really impressed as I have only just worked out how to use my email. Pictures and anything technical is way beyond me. I particularly liked the gallery of all the dogs and will be watching the training section with interest.

Ok....I will be the second. Superb. Pictures are great, full of information on what is coming up regarding training and events. A great way to share ideas, give tips on training and see how other people are getting on (or not) with gundog training.

A couple of ideas:

1. Implement a counter with the number of visitors. Will give you a good indication on how the site is doing.

2. A good way of promoting your business is to make good use of the search engines such as Google. If people were to search for "Gundog Training" you need your website as close to the top as possible. This will take some time and can be quite complicated. If you look on Google for "Search Engine Optimisation", there a lots of sites that give hints and tips on how to fully utilise search engines. Like I say, its not an overnight solution; there is a lot of information to take in, but at the end, search engines could be used as a great advantage.

Let me know how you get on.

An issue (I think). I have been trying to update the profile picture but it keeps coming up with "error on page". Anybody else having this problem?

If this happens again Dave, try re-loading the page.

Re the build of my site: I have a site monitor programme which tells me all the activity on the site. Luckily the Gundog Club are up in the top 3 for training searches so I get my contacts that way. Thanks for your input here. Much appreciated.

Have just changed my picture to a topical one of the bluebells in our wood. Seems to work OK.
